7.Ricky and Scott- Good idea very simple. Could have angled the lines a little more to make it look more than just lines.
10.Stephanie and Kat- Had a good idea the editing could have been a little different or could have had it be the goalies perspective instead.
11.Damian and Arielle- A little confusing. A good concept but may have found a way to make the meaning a little clearer. Maybe taking the women out and keeping the statue.
8. Ryan and - Good concept I would have taken out the black focus meter makes it a little confusing. I like how the surroundings were blurred. Good theme using sports because you are only focused on that.

Response to Interview with Tim Roda - 2/26/14
After skyping with Tim we learned who is as a person and what influenced a lot of his works that he created. He is hustling his way through life and constantly moving with his family of four young boys and his wife. The pictures being black and white are portraying and older feel and theme and he prefers it this way just because of the certain film he is using. Some of the pictures depict him and his family together but don't really portray happiness. Just from his style of art it's challenging to determine what emotion he is giving off.
Pre-Zombie Apocolypse - 2/24/14
This picture could have been taken at a giant warehouse store selling goods. Some examples of what this store can be is: a super Walmart, a Publix, a Target or Stop and Shop. The picture has: drinks, snacks, food, candy, soda, water, shelves, cans, boxes, cleaning supplies, price tags, caution wet sign as well as 2 people. The picture seems like an organized chaos. There is a lot of different colors , shapes and sizes all in this one small area. The people in the store seem to be curious and are trying to find/pick what product that they want. They are possibly overwhelmed by the amount of products in front of them and are having a hard time deciding. It appears to be a snapshot from a security camera. Before this image was taken it is a calm store with not too many customers. After the picture was taken, the store was overtaken by Zombie's and other blood sucking creatures that are determined to take all the resources the store provides for them. This photo is trying to convey that as Americans we have more then we need, in other countries they have never seen so many products in one area. We are a society full of consumers who want more then we actually need
Color Assignment (BLUE) - 2/18/14
The color I chose is blue because I personally love the water and blue skies. I took this picture while at the pool here on UT campus. I used an app called "Colorsplash" which allowed me to make myself black and white and show only the colors of which I chose. You can see different shades of blue in this photo. My glasses have a reflection mirror lens on them so the blue seems to be very vibrant and loud while the sky behind me has a fade from light blue to a navy. The popsicle that I'm eating is a carolina blue. I respond to this color in a positive way because it's natural and easy on the eyes.
The Black Square Problem
Project 1 review:
Ashley Mastrogiovanni, Michael Bono, Damian Arbuckle
- On Olivias blog we thought the harmony picture was interesting. At first we thought it was upside down and after reading the description we realized that it was a reflection of the image in the water.
- On Pasama's blog we liked the movement picture. It was interesting to see the straight away of the track flow into the curve, making the appearance of movement.
- On Maddie's blog we liked the space picture. The palm tree's in the picture are emphasized by the space between them
- On honda's blog he demonstrates "color" with a picture in downtown tampa, of a set of red chairs amongst light brown bricks and green vegetation. The contrast is amazing between the hotter and lighter tones.
- On hanna's blog they portrayed balance with the tennis courts. the net separates each side and there are white lines separating it also. Each side has a bench and a square box that surrounds its side of the court.
- on Ziona's blog she has a zoomed in photo of either her lips or someone else's but this picture represents texture. We like this photo because you can really see all the little details and true texture.
- On taylor's blog, the picture of the minaret from 13 century emphasized the angle of the picture. In this picture the minaret seem huge compared to the palm trees. Which is obviously is bigger.
